Dodge County Master Gardener Association was able to have a booth at both the Beaver Dam and Waupun Senior Expos in 2023. Hundreds of people stopped by the booths at both venues.

At the Beaver Dam Senior Expo, Certified Master Gardener Chris Jacobs gave a presentation on “Fragrance in the Garden”. Chris shared information on common fragrant flowers in the garden, and a few not so fragrant flowers. The theme of the booth was also fragrant flowers, there were examples of some flowers that had strong fragrance such as Star Gazer Lily and Lilacs.  Visitors at our booth did their best to identify photos of different flowers.

At the Waupun Senior Expo, Certified Master Gardener Carol Shirk gave a presentation on “Fall Perennials—More than Mums.” Visitors to the booth had an opportunity to play a game answer questions and learn about fall perennials, fall lawn care, mums and other general gardening.

All visitors to our booth, at both events, were given seed packets as a thank you for visiting our booth.  All the seeds were donated by Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam.
