Winter sowing pioneered around 20 years ago in upstate New York but more and more gardeners are experimenting with it today. Winter sowing is a simple, cost effective, and low maintenance way of starting seeds for the garden. Join Master Gardener Volunteer Carol Shirk to learn how to get started in this simple and fun way of gardening.  Bring along a clean, one gallon plastic jug to build your own mini-greenhouse and take home your first mini greenhouse.
