Growing your own vegetables is both fun and rewarding. However, knowing the basics makes the job easier and more fail-safe. Come learn what to do, starting from the ground up, to have healthy soil, plants, and ultimately a bountiful harvest. Whether you are interested in traditional gardening, using raised beds, a square-foot method, or container gardening, everything you need for your tool box will be covered to have a successful gardening season.
Carol Shirk has been a Master Gardener for more than 28 years. Raised on a dairy farm in Indiana where her family grew most of what they ate, she has been gardening for over 65 years. She is an active member of Dodge County Master Gardener Association and enjoys every opportunity to help others learn to garden.
